Yin & Yang

I was watching an episode of my favorite sitcom where they were having a discussion about how in every relationship there is a reacher & settler, one reaches to someone above their rank & one settles for someone below their rank. I look around & agree with this observation, on how many occasions have you visited a wedding or seen these very much in love couples & felt either the bride or groom could have done better, now I am not shallow to mean only on basis of physical attractiveness, just the whole personality. How come its so seldom to find a match of equals? I guess it works better that way, just imagine what if an alpha-male & alpha-female were in a committed relationship, the super-achievers would always be fulfilling their goals with no time for each other. You always come across these individuals where the girl walks with a star on her head, always surrounded by people, approached by all, not necessarily the best-looker, just with a lot of pizzaaz & the guy with that star-like persona, confident, ultra-popular with some unknown alluring quality. If these two-get together they would not make a very happy pair & there would be a lot of ego-clashes.That is why I guess the beauty & the geek concept, the rich boy meets poor girl, the extrovert & the quiet one, the whole opposites attract kind of hits the right cord , because everything just sort of complements each other to become one whole, the compatibility quotient is on a high. So next time you see these less equal couple don’t ‘tch’ it may be the case of a reacher & settler....
