Monsoon glory!

Finally  the rains are here,  bullet of raindrops being shot from the sky , fall on your skin and fill the atmosphere with a sense of happiness.

The drooping plant in my garden  and the shopkeeper who sells gum on the roadside both’s spirits are lifted. 

A smile on the little boy's face returning from school , happy to get drenched in the first rains as his anxious mother pulls him by his collar to walk faster.

The colour of the season is soothing green, everything just seems full of life. The parched land which was cracking a few days ago, already seems to have hints of green blades of grass. The concrete walls have moss all over them.

The smells are that of wet mud,  hot coffee, roasted-corn on the street-corner stall….

The overcast sky looks ready to burst at any minute, it’s a perfect setting for a walk in the woods with some music or your dear friend for company.

The chirping birds sing in such harmony which will put any international music composer to shame.

So  lets rejoice and enjoy nature at its full glory , have a Happy Monsoon!
