Chocolate, Cheese & Fantasies

Today I have been a dreamy mood. As I dusted my bookshelf, a book I loved as a kid ‘The Faraway Tree Tales’ bought back some memories in which there was a land where everything was made of chocolates. Was just wondering how it would be living in a house made of dark chocolate (No I am not crazy, just a wishful fantasy!). Yesterdays visit to a local coffee shop, chatting with a buddy sipping over a mug of hot dark chocolate, oozing upto the brim of the mug , with a neat abstract design on the surface,
simmering, making it difficult to lift the mug, brought back that childhood wish…sure, it would be a mess in summer, so it would be better to build it in someplace cold where it remains solid for most part of the year….Switzerland?! I would need no maid to help me with the cleaning as I would lick the floor clean. Of course in the swimming pool there would be liquid chocolate which would constantly have to be refilled I guess. Also to take it one notch higher & add some colour there would be nuts(except raisins, I am not quite a raisin fan) & colourful jellies spruced all over. I think I better stop now before the bitterness of dark chocolate, that I associate with heaven gets me drooling all over my keyboard as I type. Its something that can give me high. No wonder it is considered as an aphrodisiac!
My other weakness is something that requires the exertion of all your cheek muscle 'cheese' . Nowadays you go to the supermarket & there is a plethora of cheese- blue cheese, cheddar, goat cheese, gouda, mozzarella etc. staring at you from the shelves, almost begging to be picked. I have shared the recipe of my cheese sauce with quite a few people. It was one of the reasons, my attempts of turning vegan fell flat. Sorry to sound shallow but my stomach rules over my principles. Once after tasting a frozen fondue pack my sister, bought all the way from France…I felt like not brushing my teeth , just to let the taste linger in my mouth longer. So as you can guess my favorites range from pastas to nachos….yum yum. Alrite I have to go now -straight to a pasta place....Bon Appetit.
