Where I want to travel to next......

I have had my eye on the beaches of Thailand for quite a while. Thailand has a special place in my heart . After having spent almost one & half year of my life in a small town near Bangkok. Lately I have this strong desire to go there , look around , see how things have changed & meet those warm & friendly people.
There was this very kind childless couple I used to address the lady fondly as ‘Piao’ which by the way means ‘onion’ in my mother tongue. They took great care of me & my sister, as they would of their own.It would be nice to
meet them & catch up with them. I would also like to pay a visit & see what has become of the house we stayed in. I can’t even begin to imagine what so many years of development may have done to it. For all I know now there may be skyscrapers all over instead of the little house with its garden & backyard.
Of course then hogging on Thai food would be next on my list. I love the peanut sauce served with the Thai satay. The tom-yum soup infused with all those herbs which is a sure cure for a runny nose. Their coconut–ty curries can set any South Indian's tastebuds ringing.I am sure there is lots more on their menu which i would love to try. So authentic Thai food is something I can’t wait to get my hands on …
Being the beach person I am, the beaches of Pattaya are calling out to me. The soft sands, calm blue waters & untouched beaches are alluring. I could just take my sleeping bag & live on those beaches , sleeping under the stars, with the moon for company. Trust me I have done it & it is the best, just a warning though you better keep a track of the high-tide timings, if you don’t want to wake up floating mid-ocean!
Getting acquainted with the Siamese culture, their Buddhist beliefs,(from whatever little I know, it is one of the religions I have a lot of respect for) their customs & traditions, meeting locals. One thing I try to do whenever I visit a new place is make conversation with the local school-going kids….its always engaging.
This trip is something I am looking forward to .Hope it all works out in good time.
