The week has brought in its wake some sad news, my parents had to rush to my native city of Mangalore, Karnataka to attend the last rites of my mid-90’s year old grandpa’s brother who passed away. He was suffering from kidney failure. My father was one of the last one’s to speak to him when he ironically expressed how he was feeling much better & was happy his brother(my grandpa) had come to meet him that evening. He was a well-respected maths school-teacher by profession & the life of all functions & family gatherings. His tales & anecdotes made him the centre of all conversations. He shall be sorely missed & may his soul rest in peace. The only time earlier I heard my grandpa more grieved was when he talked about the death of his twin sister….
I had to stay at home & hold fort here , mother my younger sister who was giving her college examination. So I am currently incharge & have laid some ground-rules.
