Today is Valentines Day- the day of love , so I with only a brief experience(other than the platonic type) don’t know whether my opinion qualifies as a valid one.…. I have never known the all-consuming love some people claim to have felt, though I kind of believe in eternal , undying love the foundations of which are built over time….but sometimes i am not sure whether it exists or it’s a mirage people see when they are lost in a desert of loneliness .
I have known several people who get into a ‘relationship’ as a cure for their stagnant professional lives or geven get married just to infuse smthng new in their uneventful lives.
Love at first sight is smthng I don’t believe in & those who claim to have experienced it are just plain shallow because the true nature of a person is only smthng which can be discovered over time….dat is why true selfless love is so difficult in todays day & age where people crave for everything instant from instant coffee, fastfood so cums the evolution of love internet dating….the recent spurt of social networking sites has everyone from my watchman to the CEO sitting in his air-conditioned cabin hooked. Anyway back to main topic so lets assume there is love in the air so why not express it on a day when it is all around, it just makes it easier as the atmosphere is all lovey-dovey. It is a non-issue whether we need such a day or not , its a personal choice.
